If you have any overseas – or even domestic – travel planned, taking your cats or dogs with you is unlikely to be an option. For the next few days, you can earn $35 when booking pet-sitting services with Rover.com for the first time thanks to an increased bonus with Acorns Found Money.
The Deal
- Sign-up for Rover and pay for services using an Acorns-linked card to earn $35 Found Money.
Key Terms
- Must click through from Acorns, use an Acorns-linked card and make a purchase in the same session to redeem.
- Increased bonus ends July 9, 2018 at midnight.
- This promotion is only valid for new customers of Rover.
Quick Thoughts
My wife and I have used Rover many times when traveling overseas so that our dog can be looked after without her having to stay in a kennel most of the day. One of the nice features is that when making a reservation, you can ask for pictures of your pet to be sent to you throughout the stay.
Rover uses a rating system similar to what you’d find on eBay and Airbnb which makes it easier to view trusted pet boarders in your local area. The only people that can leave reviews are those who’ve actually paid for services through Rover, so the ratings system is less open to gaming than Google Reviews, Yelp, etc.
You can normally get a $20 Rover credit when being referred by an existing user, so this offer through Acorns Found Money is worth 75% more than that.
There’s also an Amex Offer for Rover offering $20 or 2,000 Membership Rewards when spending $75 on services. As the Found Money is awarded afterwards rather than it being an instant discount, it means that spending $75 will get you $35 in Found Money as well as $20 or 2,000 Membership Rewards from the Amex Offer. Just be sure to link your Amex card to your Acorns account.
Rover’s not limited to pet boarding – you can also book doggy daycare, pet walking services and more. You can even book house sitting services where someone will stay overnight to look after your pet in your home if you think it’d be too stressful for your pet to stay elsewhere.
If you haven’t signed up for Acorns yet, our referral links are listed below. If you use one of those, you’ll earn a $5 referral bonus as will we.

Rover seems to be gone as a choice. Can you send a $20 referral link?
I’m still seeing it on the desktop version of the site. If you try going to https://app.acorns.com/found-money/rover/35-dollars-invested/6c7c4d5d-8070-4aa6-be47-eebfb7699c64 then that’ll hopefully work. If not, go to Found Money and it should be listed there.
If neither of those options work, my referral link for the $20 is http://www.rover.com/refer/stephenp2/

Got it. Thanks
Where do I find the Rover link in Acorn?
