Key Details

- Each offer excludes other IHG brands
Quick Thoughts
Each of these offers are obviously good deals if you have a stay coming up with the associated brand. These offers may be particularly appealing for some given the new deal for InterContinental Ambassador status that yields a 40K free night certificate with a paid stay by the end of January and given how the free weekend night cert (which can be used any night of the week at Kimpton) works in conjunction with a paid night. Note that I don’t think the purchase of Ambassador status would trigger either of these offers, though I don’t know that for sure.

Question on the Kimpton offer: I’ve got an already-booked award stay coming up at a kimpton (burning IHG free night certs) during the promo period. The fine print seems to rule this out, but any chance in reality that I might get the credit for charging the resort fee and restaurant charges via the room number?
I don’t think the fine print rules it out — yes, I’m almost 100% sure that would work.
The fine print says it isn’t valid on stays paid before the offer began. That means that if you booked a prepaid rate last week and paid for it last week, you can’t retroactively apply this offer to last week’s purchase. But you should be fine for charges that you incur during the offer period.
Note that it’s valid on the room rate and room charges — that should include things charged to your room like restaurant charges, etc. Anything paid at the front desk should work.
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, Nick!
I should be able to use the last year’s IHG Ambassador free weekend night certificate (expiration extended till December) to trigger the ambassador renewal deal, is that correct? I am an existing IHG Ambassador.
I would think so. I don’t know for sure, but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work.
