The SW Priority card I’ve always considered a net win with the points and credit doing better than slightly offsetting the $150 annual fee. And yes you can buy SW gift cards right from their site with it and get the credit.

I don’t love the changes to Southwest as an airline, but this card is certainly even more of a keeper for now if you fly them at all.

Karl

In addition to the Visa Signature I also have the Autograph and the Attune I can confirm that you can move points back and forth between all accounts.

Matt

I wanted to chime in on the SW card to emphasize what you can get from the SUB. The $149 card was our first foray into points and miles; we signed up and got the big bonus (I think 100k) + the Companion Pass. We tood thousands of dollars of “free” flights over the ~20 months we had the CP — Hawaii to Seattle to Miami (for the Keys) and many other trips. Was really really great for us.

Lee

Not all Wells Fargo card can product change into the Visa Signature. The question is: which cards can?

Jack

Valuable nugget found on this episode. Mille grazie.

On the change in AA award hold time, I found that option very valuable when they had change and cancellation fees, but now that you can freely cancel anyway, why not just book now and then cancel if necessary? Since AA doesn’t have transfer partners, that wouldn’t seem to be an issue for most people. What am I missing?

DaveS

Or am I maybe missing seeing this as a logical step they would take along the way if making the Citi Strata card a transfer partner?
