Ebates is offering 14% cash back today at many retailers. Two that may be of particular interest are Sak’s Fifth Avenue and Dell since those offers could potentially stack with popular card benefits offering credits at those stores and with an Amex Offer (for Dell).

The Deal

Quick Thoughts

Quite a few stores are offering increased rates for Valentine’s Day today. Two of particular interest may be Sak’s Fifth Ave and Dell. That’s because the personal versions of the Platinum Card from American Express offer a $50 credit for Sak’s Fifth Ave purchases twice a year. The Business Platinum card from American Express offerings a twice-annual $100 credit for Dell purchases. Stacking those credits with 14% back lets you stretch the value a bit further yet.

Dell could be particularly good since there is also a Current Amex Offer for 10% back on Dell purchases up to $1500 back. If you were to spend $100 exactly (and have not yet received your Amex statement credit for this half of the year), you could end up getting back a total of $124 on a $100 purchase ($100 from your Business Platinum card plus another $14 back from Ebates and $10 back from the Amex Offer if you have that available). That’s not a bad deal at all.

Last year I used my saks credit when it was 10x miles on AA and also extra 500 miles when spending $100. So at the end with both my wifes and my credits we got 1,500 miles
