Quick Thoughts
This is a sweet deal offering 25% back, or more if you were targeted for the Membership Rewards version of the offer and value those points at greater than 1cpp. If possible, load it to a card that has the existing Staples Amex Offer for 10% back to double up on the savings.
Both my wife and I had the MR version of the offer on a couple of cards, although only one of her cards got the $25 statement credit version, while I didn’t get that version of all.
If you’re planning on taking advantage of these offers in-store, be sure to link whatever card(s) you add these offers to in the Dosh app so that you earn an additional 3% cashback.
With regards to the exclusion stating ‘Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases’, I think that relates to corporate gift card purchases or something along those lines – buying Staples or third party gift cards in-store or online is fine and will trigger the offer.
[…] today good for $25 back on $100 or more at Staples that’s only good through June 30, 2019. Stephen Pepper first reported this one back on May 13th, but Charlie at Running With Miles reported this morning that he found this offer on all of his […]
[…] Getting a free $10 Best Buy eGift card with a $100 Delta gift card is a better deal though as Delta gift cards don’t go on sale as frequently. If you are in the market for discounted Delta gift cards though, there are other ways to get better discounts. For example, you can buy a $100 card at Staples and get $25 back or 2,500 Membership Rewards with the recent Staples Amex Offer. […]
I bought a $100 Visa gift card today in my local store and it did NOT trigger the offer. Disappointed…..
Keep an eye on your statement – I’ve sometimes not received an email confirming I’ve used an Amex Offer but the statement credit has still appeared.
Didn’t see this offer, but I did see 1500 MR for $100 spend on Happy Gift Cards.
What are gift cards in bulk purchases?
I think it’s some kind of corporate program for businesses buying gift cards – nothing we need to worry about for regular gift card purchases.
