Some Citi cardholders are being targeted with an offer giving a discount when booking a hotel stay through Citi Travel℠. There are different offers out there, so be sure to check to see if you have one of the offers listed below or a different one.
The Deals

- This 10% hotel discount is valid for one hotel booking made between 04/14/2026 to 05/14/2026 and is subject to the additional requirements stated below.
- There is no minimum hotel nights requirement to receive the promotion.
- To receive the 10% discount, you must pre-pay for your complete stay.
- This offer is available only for the recipient of this banner, is non-transferable, and can only be used for the card you selected when you received this offer.
- The 10% hotel discount will be automatically applied at the time of booking.
- Reservations must be made by the primary cardmember but can be made for the benefit and in the name of either the primary cardmember or another person.
Quick Thoughts
As mentioned above, there are at least two different offers out there, but there might be other variations too.
My wife was targeted for the version giving 10% off on up to $750 of spend. While that doesn’t sound as good as the $50 off $300 offer, you would save more with the 10% version if your booking is for more than $500.
These offers will stack with any other cardholder discounts or credits available to you. For example, the Citi Strata Elite℠ card has a benefit for an up to $300 hotel credit per calendar year on a stay of two nights or more when booked via Citi Travel. Likewise, one of the benefits on the Citi Strata Premier℠ card is a $100 discount when booking a $500+ hotel stay through Citi Travel. You can get both the $100 discount and the 10% discount if you’re targeted for that latter offer.
You’ll also earn the high level of bonus points for booking through Citi Travel depending on which card(s) you have. For example, the Strata Premier earns 10X on hotel stays booked through their travel portal, while Strata Elite cardholders earn 12X.
Note that these offers are only valid for stays by May 14 and only for prepaid stays. Even though you have to prepay, you can book those as refundable stays provided that’s an option when booking.
What could be helpful is that the stay doesn’t have to be in the cardholder’s name. That means that if you have a friend or family member who needs to book a hotel stay and earning hotel points, receiving elite status benefits, etc. isn’t a concern for them (as those aren’t available for stays booked through an Online Travel Agency like Citi Travel), you could offer to book the stay for them in order to save them money.
