Radisson Rewards has sent out a targeted offer to earn double elite qualidying credits for stays through December 28, 2018. This makes it possible to qualify for top-tier status with as few as 15 single-night stays. That’s probably not worthwhile for most, but if you have a handful of Radisson stays on the books this year, it may be worth it to you.
The Deal
- Earn double elite qualifying nights and stays at Radisson properties worldwide through December 28, 2018
- Direct link to see if you are eligible for this promotion (but keep in mind that it’s targeted)
Key Terms
- Eligible members will be invited to earn double Elite qualifying nights & stays on all eligible bookings made and consumed from September 17, 2018 through December 28, 2018 (“Promotion Period”). Members can earn at all Radisson Collection™, Radisson Blu®, Radisson®, Radisson RED®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson, and Country Inn & Suites® by Radisson hotels worldwide (collectively, “Participating Properties”).
- To be eligible for the Promotion, you must: (i) be a Radisson Rewards® (formerly Club CarlsonSM) member; (ii) have received a private email invitation to participate in the promotion (“Eligible Member”); (iii) register online at the link provided via email; (iv) provide your Radisson Rewards member number at the time of reservation or at check-in; and (v) book and complete at least one (1) eligible stay during the Promotion Period. Pre-existing reservations for stays during the Promotion Period are not eligible.
- “Eligible Stay(s)” means one or more consecutive eligible nights at the same Participating Property, regardless of the number of check-ins or check-outs that occur during that stay. “Eligible Night” means a night at a Participating Property that is booked at an Eligible Rate, identified in the Participating Property’s reservation system as eligible for points. See the Radisson Rewards Terms and Conditions for more information. Both the check-in and checkout dates of the Eligible Night(s) must take place during the Promotion Period.
- Stays or nights paid for by using Points or Points + Cash are eligible for the Promotion. You only need to register once, but you must register before checkout of your eligible stay for that stay to count for the Promotion.
- Bonus Elite Qualifying Nights will be capped at ten (10) nights per eligible stay. Bonus Elite Qualifying Stays will be unlimited. Bonus Elite Qualifying Nights and Stays earned during this promotion will be applied to the member’s account when the standard Elite Qualifying Nights and Elite Qualifying
- Stays are credited for the eligible stay and eligible night, usually within 5 days after the qualifying eligible stay or eligible night has been completed but may take longer to post.
Quick Thoughts
This promotion is targeted and not wildly exciting, but if you’re chasing Radisson status for some reason, this would make it a little easier to get there. Keep in mind that bonus elite nights are capped at 10 nights per stay — so if you’re staying 15 consecutive nights, you won’t actually get double night credit. You would have to check and out and spend 1 night at another hotel and then come back to get double credit on 14 nights anyway. It’s nice to see that award stays are also eligible as getting double credit on a free night is always nice.
Keep in mind that Radisson still allows you to qualify for top-tier status based on stays — Platinum status requires 60 nights or 30 stays. Through this promotion, it would be possible to qualify for top-tier status with just 15 one-night stays, which could be a cheap run at a top-tier status that you may be able to leverage with another chain in the future. Platinum status is probably the only status worth going after as it is the only status offering free breakfast. Gold status (available with the Radisson Rewards Premier Visa) otherwise comes with nearly identical benefits. You can find full Radisson elite status benefits here.
I registered through this email — and stayed last week. I was not credited the 15K points and I just “chatted” about it and was told (was actually copied on the rules) that I hadn’t registered through the email url, so wasn’t registered properly, so won’t get the points. Too bad.
I was targeted with a promo that would let me regain my Silver status (I think I had it through a status match) by making two stays by December 28th. I don’t have any stays planned, because Radisson properties in the US are uninspiring, but who knows?
[…] addition to the targeted Radisson Rewards promo Nick wrote about yesterday offering double elite qualifying credits, Radisson Rewards has launched an additional […]
I was Targeted with 15,000 points via email and then registered.
I just tried the double EC link, and registered and it worked (but did not receive the initial targeted email, but got a confirmation once I registered.)
You won’t get the points. Drat.
I was targeted for a different Radisson promo. 15,000 points after one stay.
I received the same 15k promo. I’ll definitely be taking advantage of that since I have a stay coming up and it is only $100 for a night where I wanted to stay.
