Update: This code only lasted a couple of minutes. There are numerous reports that it is already dead.

Uber is offering a $25 credit for existing users when you enter the code roamlikehome on the “Promotions” screen in the Uber app. Normally promotional codes are only good for existing users, so this is actually quite rare and may not last long.

If you don’t already have an Uber account, you can find a signup link for Uber and many other cool things here. For signing up you will receive a $20 credit. You can then enter the code roamlikehome to get an additional $25 credit.

The $25 credit earned with this promotional code expires on 12/31/15.

I also successfully added the code to my account but when I took a ride in NYC it did not apply and my credit card was charged. And it is no longer listed in the Promotions section. More fishiness from the company.

I was one of the lucky few who was able to add this to my uber account – but today when I uber’d the credit did not show up and it’s also missing from my Promotion section! I guess they recanted it even for those who were able to get it…wonder if it worked for anyone?

Just worked for me as well, though does say valid only in Canada. hmm…

It actually worked- but says valid in Canada for Rogers customers – thru 3/31/15. So, uh, who’s Roger?
