Today only (Monday, September 24th) Ebates is offering 10% back at many popular retailers. While some are often available around this amount, and others have restrictions (i.e. no Hotels.com cash back on the purchase or redemption of gift cards), others could make for a great deal when stacked with a card that earns one of the Best Category Bonuses or one of the Current Amex Offers.

Quick Thoughts
You’ll want to check the terms of your chosen retailer to see what is excluded. For instance, Hotels.com is offering 10% cash back, but the terms indicate that it excludes the purchase or redemption of gift cards. In other words, if you picked up reduced-price gift cards (often on sale for around 20% off), you can not stack that savings with this portal cash back per the terms. Note that real world experience does not always match portal terms. Check our Laboratory for actual results at various retailers.
Also check CashBackMonitor.com to be sure you’re getting the best available rate. For example, while Ebates is advertising 10% back at Macy’s, CashBackMonitor.com shows that TopCashBack is actually offering 12% back at Macy’s right now. IHG is available at 10% back through Ebates, though individual chains have higher cash back available through some portals. It pays to shop around.
Still, there are some deals to be found. If you’re looking for sporting goods, Dick’s Sporting Goods is one retailer that typically only hits double digits now and then, and typically just for a day or two. Dell is occasionally available for greater-than-10% back, but if you’re able to stack with the Current Amex Offer for 10% back, you could put together a strong deal still.

question. Can you use Amex 10% back on Dell on Dell Outlet? or that does not trigger the Amex Offer?
I don’t think that will trigger the offer. I haven’t tried it, but my past experience has been that portal cash back does not cross over (i.e. click through Dell and buy through Dell Outlet), so I would imagine the purchase codes differently for Amex as well. I could certainly be wrong, but that’s my best guess. (For the record, I know Dell Outlet is also 10% through Ebates today – I mean at times in the past where Outlet was offering a high payout and the main site wasn’t or vice versa, the cash back has not crossed over in my experience).
