Quick Thoughts
DashPass is required for these Summer of DashPass promos, though many readers likely have DashPass courtesy of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card or Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Keep in mind that even Freedom and Freedom Unlimited cardholders can activate a free 3-month subscription (though note that it will be set to auto-renew for the next 9 months at 50% off if you do not cancel).
Since I live in a rural area with no restaurant delivery, I can’t usually take advantage of these types of promos myself (though I realize that most readers likely can take advantage of a deal like this). However, I was initially excited about the timing here because I have an appointment in a town with some DoorDash restaurants this week and figured I might be able to pick up dinner until I realized that this promo is not valid for pickup. You must get delivery. I guess maybe I could order for delivery to the office where I’ll be and meet the delivery person in the parking lot? 🙂
For most folks, this is a great deal. For those with a Chase Sapphire Reserve, this would stack nicely with the $60 annual DoorDash credit that comes on that card this year and next year.
H/T: Doctor of Credit
$15 off $15 promo doesn’t work. I talked to DoorDash today and they told me that their operation system is down since yesterday. Hard to believe that…people can still put in orders just the promotion system is down????
I don’t know about yesterday, but it’s working today. I used it on my both my wife’s account and mine this afternoon.
[…] months of DoorDash’s DashPass by 9/30/20 and get a $10 credit toward their next order. One comment we received earlier indicates that this credit may be conflicting with the Summer of DashPass promo (which includes $15 […]
You can have it deliver to you in a parking lot / at an intersection. We’ve done it! Usually you need to leave notes about the specifics.
And which restaurants are the “participating DashPass eligible restaurants”? It seems like a mystery when trying to purchase on a desktop!
I don’t know on Desktop. In the app, it’s any of the restaurants with a check mark next to them.
Thank you – Got it!
Ordered chicken sandwich, curly fries, and Mac & Cheese for $21 (all in tax, tips, etc.) from Sam’s Crispy Chicken in Costa Mesa (less than 2 miles from my house). With this discount, it came down to $6. Horrible delivery service, the driver got lost and I had to go to the street looking for her! So, no “no-contact delivery” and the fries and Mac n Cheese was half eaten!!!!
Not working for me – new DashPass member. I think my 10 dollar credit overrides the $15?
I just updated my post about that deal. If you didn’t try it out, I had to place an order with the $10 credit first, then I was able to see the $15 off promo. I just split dinner into 2 separate orders.
Thanks. Worked on pickup for me.
