Update 6/13/24: Just a reminder: these two Chase transfer bonuses will be ending in two days. If you want to take advantage of either one, now’s the time.
~~~
Chase is out with not one but two new transfer bonuses today – one to Virgin Atlantic and one to Marriott Bonvoy.
The Deal
- Chase is offering the following transfer bonuses:
- 30% bonus to Virgin Atlantic
- 40% bonus to Marriott Bonvoy
Key Terms
- Expires June 15, 2024.
Quick Thoughts
The pick of the two deals here is for Virgin Atlantic. They still have some sweet spots, but we’d caution against transferring speculatively as they’ve been known to devalue overnight with no notice. Also bear in mind that American Express is offering the same 30% transfer bonus to Virgin, so if you’re Membership Rewards-rich and prefer saving your Ultimate Rewards for Hyatt stays, the Amex transfer bonus could be a better option.
Despite the transfer bonus for Marriott Bonvoy being the higher percentage, that option should be ignored for most people unless you need to top up for a high value award booking. That’s because even with a 40% transfer bonus you likely won’t get much more than 1.5cpp (cents per point) of value and in many cases it’ll be less value than that.
Both of these transfer bonuses will be available until June 15, so there’s no need to rush to transfer any Ultimate Rewards points until you need to.
Chase and Chase Travel have no record of this transfer bonus.
Where can one find it? Just curious.
Thanks for the reminder
Amex bonus has been gone for a couple weeks now though
Thanks for the reminder. Booked a couple of Virgin business class tickets from India to the US — $400 fuel surcharge is a bit better when it comes with a 20K points savings.
