Chase United Airlines Cards: Increased welcome offers of up to 90K miles

4

There are improved, limited-time welcome offers available on the Chase United Airlines Explorer Gateway, Quest and Club Infinite cards. The Club Infinite has the biggest offer with 90,000 miles earned after $5,000 in spend.  If you value the United Club access that comes with it, that’s a decent deal. If not, the 70,000 mile offer on the United Quest card with $275 less in annual fee may be more appealing.

All of these represent a 10,000 mile increase from the previous welcome offers.

Quick Thoughts

In 2022, we saw a best-ever offer for 120,000 miles on the United Club card, albeit with an extra $1,000 in spend compared to the current 90K bonus. While this certainly doesn’t reach the same heights, if you value the United Club membership, 90K is a decent haul.

The Quest offer adds an additional 10,000 miles from the 60K offer that we saw before, while the spend stays the same at $4k in 3 months and it still includes 500 bonus Premier Qualifying Points (PQP). The card has $125 in annual United credits and 2x 5K Mileage Plus award rebates to take some of the sting out of the $250 annual fee.

The Gateway offer gives an additional 10,000 miles on $1k spend for a total of 30,000 miles. That’s OK for such low spend, but not earth-shattering. I think the other two are more interesting.

Each card falls under Chase’s 5/24 rule, so check out Greg’s post on ways to check your status if you’re uncertain of where you stand.

Does the Gateway card qualify for the “Better together” bonus (5,000 bonus miles each year on your United Business Card anniversary when you have both the United Business Card and a personal Chase United credit card)? I already have the United Business Card. Thanks!

I’m also seeing a 65k pre-approved offer for the Explorer card and a 70k + 2000 PQP for the Quest card on united.com (not even logging in, but they know who am I from cookies I guess).

Also the Club card offer has an extra 5k after adding an AU, bringing it to 95k / $5000

No love for the United Explorer card. Same 60,000 miles which doesn’t go as far anymore since the devaluations. They need to up their game.
