A new targeted Amex Offer came out this week that’s good for 20% back at Shoprite, up to $20 back. Doctor of Credit reports that there is also a version for 10% back up to $15, though I didn’t see that on any of our cards. Unfortunately, I didn’t see this offer on cards that earn a bonus at US Supermarkets. However, it is nonetheless an easy win for those who can make use of it.
The Deal
- A new targeted Amex Offer is good for 20% back at a statement credit when using your enrolled card in-store or online at Shoprite by 10/5/20
Key Terms
- Expires 10/5/20
- Excludes ShopRite Gas/Fuel/Convenience Stores, ShopRite Liquor/Wine & Spirits, and shopritedelivers.com purchases.
- Not valid at leased departments within ShopRite locations.
Quick Thoughts
While I’d ordinarily prefer using a card that earns one of the best category bonuses at US Supermarkets, the ability to get 20% back trumps even the best of credit card rewards. I’m sure that most people who live near a Shop Rite grocery store are likely to be able to use this on normal groceries quite easily, but it would alternatively be pretty easy to use it up on gift cards at most stores.
A few years back, Shoprite used to occasionally sell random stuff online for shipping (I got a couple of tablets / video game systems and things like that from them), but this offer explicitly excludes shopritedelivers.com, so I don’t think that shipped items would count anyway.
