Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is happening now! Follow us as Greg, Nick, and Stephen compete to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines before November 23rd. Who will complete the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
Chase periodically increases the signup offer on their United Mileage Plus card to 50,000 miles plus 5,000 additional miles for adding an authorized user. That offer has returned (along with a $3K spend requirement). However, Doctor of Credit reports availability of a slightly better offer. This one includes a $50 statement credit after first purchase.
Getting the better offer is very easy. Simply search for any flight on United.com and you should see this:
Interestingly, if I copy the URL for the above offer and paste into another browser, the $50 statement credit disappears so there’s no point in sharing that URL here.
Both offers can be found under Chase… Airline Cards on my Best Offers Page. I listed both since the ability to find the $50 statement credit offer could disappear at any time.

If I downgrade my current United Explorer card today (had it for 3.5 yrs), would I be able to get the offer for a new Explorer card if I applied 2-3 weeks from now?
Also, I have quite a few Chase cards, so that’s another potential concern. Do they have a limit on the number of cards? I currently have 9 with them (a lot I know), but two are business cards (Ink Plus and Bold) and might also apply for Ink Cash if the bonus goes up.
Was planning on applying for this card; saw your email, l and just made $50. Thanks!
