The shopping portal TopCashBack is offering 21% cash back on Viator bookings for today only. While I’m not personally a big fan of Viator because of their pretty customer-unfriendly policies, they can sometimes be the best way to book a particular activity. That’s especially true in situations where Viator offers the best price you can get otherwise and you can stack it with a return like this.

Quick Thoughts
While I was pretty underwhelmed with Viator when they let a tour operator cancel my booking just days before Greg and I were due to go on the tour (not because it was unavailable, just because the tour operator wanted to increase the price — likely because of an increase in the fees they paid to Viator). However, I had a good experience booking the Formula 3000 driving experience on the Grand Prix track at Abu Dhabi through Viator. While their price was higher than booking direct, I was able to click through a portal and book a refundable/cancellable rate and then file a best price guarantee claim. I received both a refund of the difference in price (meaning that booking through Viator cost me the same as booking direct) and the portal rewards (which I expected I might not get after the best price guarantee claim, but this was a pleasant surprise).
During my 3 Cards 3 Continents trip, I again turned to Viator because it had the most comprehensive listing of tour companies and the best way to vet them. I was very happy with Oman Sea Tour for the snorkeling tour where I swam with whale sharks and sea turtles (booked through Viator). Like anything else, YMMV.
If you have it in mind to book activities for a trip, it’s worth taking a look today. Many (most?) activities booked through Viator can be changed / canceled for free up until a deadline, so locking in the portal rewards now makes sense even if your plans aren’t quite 100% certain.
TripAdvisor is coming up with 30 percent off on capital one shopping portal. Stacks with a 5 percent cash back on one of my chase cards.
21% back at Viator via TopCashBack – maybe you will, and maybe you won’t. Proper title whenever you’re talking about TopCashBack.
I did really well looking at the bus transfer station the person there sold me 2 trips and did them too. It’s an option that’s all that worked for me a local person 5*..
Shop around. I’ve found klook to be better in both breadth and price, even with cashback factored in.
I booked four trips in France with them in November. 3 were cancelled, one 30 minutes before pickup.
I have a family trip to paris coming up and I’ve been booking stuff on Get My Guide – I’ve been impressed – you can cancel 24 hours before and Amex has a 10% discount thru 12/31
