American Expres is once again offering a 25% transfer bonus on Membership Rewards points transferred to Air France / KLM Flying Blue. Flying Blue has a number of award chart sweet spots and they run regular promo awards with slight discounts on award tickets, which might make this appealing to those members who make use of them.

- Get a 25% bonus on Amex Membership Rewards points transferred to Flying Blue by 4/29/19

Quick Thoughts
Flying Blue is particularly popular for economy class redemptions to Hawaii (15K points each way from the East Coast on Delta) and for flights to Israel and parts of Northern Africa, which are considered part of “Europe” under the award chart (while most other programs consider those areas to be regions other than Europe). This means you can snag a pretty good deal in terms of award tickets to either location.
Ultimately, I’d probably only transfer if I had a short-term plan for the points since time will tell how readily available the lowest level redemptions will be. As always, we have added this to our list of Current point transfer bonuses.
This bonus was last offered from May to June 2018, which you can also find in the “expired” section on the Current point transfer bonuses page. Citi also ran a 30% bonus late last summer.

I was thinking of doing this. My dad made Air France silver. I added him as an authorized user to my AMEX and was going to transfer miles to his account to book AF First class. But I’m very concerned about a strike cancelling my flight.
U know if they settle the strike they may b giving better deals to fly them again .I’ll never fly AF but I need KLM for CPT.
