Key Terms

  • Expires 6/18/18
  • Only valid at JW Marriott hotels (no other brands)
  • Only valid at locations in the United States

Quick Thoughts

While not quite as good as the Hyatt offer that came out the other day, it’s nonetheless great to see an Amex Offer targeted at Marriott hotels. Keep in mind that this offer is only good at JW Marriott hotels (not any other Marriott/SPG brands) and only valid at locations in the United States.

The Membership Rewards offer is more valuable than the $40 statement credit version if you value MR points at greater than 1 cent each, though both offers are decent if you have a paid stay planned. If your stay will be $400+, you should be able to split tender at checkout and use the offer more than once. I’m not sure if all JW Marriott locations sell gift cards, but I’ve had luck with gift card purchases made at the front desk triggering offers in the past (though gift card purchases made in the gift shop would not trigger an offer). YMMV.

See our Complete Guide to Amex Offers for more information on loading an offer to multiple cards. As always, we have added this offer to our Current Amex Offers database.
