Hearing Greg ask about Iberia vs. TAP was interesting, because we just came back from a trip where we flew both. We were of Lufthansa to MUC, then TAP MUC-LIS-MAD, and Iberia MAD-BOS.
We found Iberia to be an absolute delight, and much better than the last time we flew them in 2018. Food was very good (they switched caterers in 2019, apparently). The crew was actually super friendly. And we were on one of their new A321XLR aircrafts. Nick would not like their seats (a variation of the newer JetBlue ones), but we loved them. Even the MAD ground experience was good (the train out to Terminal 4S is a bit long, but everything went smoothly). We thought the Iberia experience was way better than Lufthansa.
The TAP experience, on the other hand, completely reflected its poor reputation. The bus gate ground game at LIS was miserable. While we did not try their long haul hard product, the catering was more or less inedible (I did not see anyone in business class touch their carrot & cod salad). And the staff ranges from indifferent to rude.
Came on here as soon as I found out about the JetBlue Premier Card. No write up on that? Just Chris I haven’t been in the loop
Yes, we wrote about it, talked about it on the podcast, and Carrie included a link to our post about it in the summary above. Here it is again: https://frequentmiler.com/new-jetblue-premier-card-launches-but-isnt-ready-to-take-off/
