Get $100 statement credit with targeted Costco credit card welcome offer

The Costco Anywhere Visa is a card that doesn’t get much attention, with one of the key reasons being that it rarely offers a welcome offer for new applicants. While the public welcome offer still doesn’t currently provide any kind of bonus, some Costco members are being targeted with an email offer giving a $100 statement credit.

As you can see, the minimum spend requirement is minimal, requiring only $300 of spend on the card in the first three months of opening the account. While $100 isn’t a huge bonus, it’s better than what’s available normally and it won’t divert a lot of spend away from your ability to meet minimum spend requirements on any other cards you applied for recently or will be getting in the next couple of months.

The main draw of the card is 5% cashback on gas at Costco and 4% on gas and EV charging elsewhere, with a combined max bonused spend of $7,000. 3% cashback on dining and travel and 2% cashback at Costco isn’t bad if most of your grocery shopping is done at Costco and you’re looking for a one card solution for your wallet. However, other than 4%/5% on gas, there are far more rewarding cards out there dining, travel, groceries, and particularly welcome offers.
