My credit card application was declined. Now what?
We get this kind of question a lot. And the truth is, credit card application strategies may vary by bank.

Let’s say you have a letter that says there were too many new accounts, too much available credit, not enough usage of existing credit, etc. Then what? Don’t forget that you can always call and ask for reconsideration…

I’ve been LOL/24 for a while, but am working towards basically 0/24 so that I can finally get pre-approved for C1VX. Wish they didn’t pull from all three bureaus, too. What a pain!
It’s my understanding that you can often freeze one of the credit bureaus so the hard inquiry is reduced. Do a little Reddit sleuthing and see what you can find?
