One Mile at a Time lists Oman Air as one of the World’s Best First Class Airlines, and he has posted very high praise for their business class as well.

Air Canada Aeroplan allows mixing and matching partners on a single award and so it’s possible to book a trip that includes Oman Air even if its only one leg of your itinerary.  Plus, you can add in a stopover (even on a one-way award) for only 5,000 additional points.  That’s good given that Oman Air doesn’t today fly to North America.  Here’s their current route network according to FlightConnections:

Oman Air’s first class is much more limited.  According to FlightConnections they currently fly first class only between Muscat and Dubai, Frankfurt, and Kuala Lumpur.

You can transfer points 1 to 1 to Aeroplan from Amex, Chase, Capital One, or Bilt.

This now has F availability on FRA-MCT route starting on March 27.

Thanks for some eminently practical information. Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur sounds amazing, at least once Malaysia reopens.

Oman is among my top 5 countries in the world. Given this and the fact that I frequently travel to Central Europe where FRA is just a flight away, this is a VERY interesting proposition…
EDIT: I just did a quick search and I don’t see any award availability from FRA on Oman Air. How stingy are they with award space? Looks like a lot, LOL
