Amazon is again targeting customers with an offer to get a discount when using at least 1 Chase Ultimate Rewards point at checkout. The best offer appears to be 50% off, up to a $15 maximum discount. That said, there’s quite a few offers out there, so you may be targeted with something better (or not targeted at all).
The Deal
- Get up to 50% off (up to $15 off of $30) on Amazon when redeeming at least 1 Chase Ultimate Rewards point. There are many versions of the offer that may offer a higher/lower percentage off or maximum total.

Quick Thoughts
If you are targeted, this offer is an easy win since it’s not hard for most people to spend $30 on Amazon…especially during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. However, one thing to note is that items have to be sold by and shipped by Amazon.com, so the numerous items which are sold by a third party on Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon aren’t eligible.
You can spend $30 or more on third party gift cards and trigger this discount. Those are sold and delivered by ACI Gift Cards, LLC., but because that’s an Amazon company, they’re eligible for this type of offer.
When checking out, you’ll be asked how many Ultimate Rewards points you want to use. Be sure to enter ‘0.01’ so that it only redeems 1 point as using more than that offers poor redemption value for Ultimate Rewards. The balance can then be paid on your Ultimate Rewards-earning card. Some folks have found that their offer specifies that they have to redeem 100 points instead of 1, but that’s still a terrific exchange for a $15 discount.
