[Expired] Amex Business Gold: 95K Membership Rewards offer with no lifetime language (targeted)

Another day, another targeted welcome offer from Amex. Yesterday, my wife and I both found a very good offer for the Blue Business Plus card on our accounts. Today, she has a shiny, new welcome offer for the Business Gold on her account as well. It’s a significant improvement on the standard offer and does not include AMEX’s once-in-a-lifetime language (NLL).

The Offer

• Earn 90,000 Membership Rewards points after $10,000 spend on a new Business Gold card within the first three months. Get an additional 5,000 points by adding an employee card and spending $1,000 within the first three months. This offer has expired
  • The $1,000 of spend on the employee card goes towards the $10K max
  • There’s no once-in-a-lifetime language associated with this offer.

Quick Thoughts

This is the same targeted offer that Amex has been sending out periodically over the last few months, which offers an increased 90K bonus as well as an additional 5K for adding an authorized user and spending $1,000 on the “employee” card.  This is definitely a nice welcome offer with reasonable spend and not having once-in-a-lifetime language makes it very appealing. These offers almost always come with no hard-pull, but YMMV.

There used to be common reports over the last couple of years of Business Gold customers getting 100K upgrade offers to the Business Platinum, but I haven’t heard of one in quite a while.
