Quick Thoughts

These increased Hilton offers are pretty good, although they look less impressive when compared with previous offers that included free night certificates. They also lose some luster given that Hilton recently raised the maximum that it will charge for standard awards to 250K points…per night.

Keep in mind that the business card won’t contribute to your 5/24 count, which could make it the most attractive option, especially when you consider that it earns 5 Hilton points per dollar spent on the first $100,000 in eligible purchases per year. However, it also has the biggest required spend: $8,000.

From what I see on the Aspire, you actually do not get a free night after approval. You have to wait until the completion of your anniversary year. This is both in the link that Tim shows above, as well as in my account when I look at the “refer a friend” referral that I generate. Looks like they’ve dropped the FN at approval for the Aspire?

Justin

Just applied for and got approved for Surpass and Honors back to back. Already have the Aspire (first Hilton card), and love it for all the reasons. Figured it was a quick 230k points + $100 with $0 AF first year + 30k MR points to wifey for the referrals. After I will either play upgrade game (if targeted), upgrade to a 2nd Aspire, or downgrade both to Honors and just roll with the single Aspire. All in a days work!

appropriately matter-of-fact review, if restrained from pointing out the obvious …. rather ‘telling” that the word “impressive” only gets used to describe 25% boost in points for the no fee version…. worst part about these promos isn’t the #’s, but that they’re for Hiltons…. astronomical inflation of points required of late…. Still holding a few amex hilton cards, but increasinly not using the spending promotions, as the hilton “pesos” are getting close to worthless. Greed kills.

Anyone getting no lifetime offers on any of the hilton cards? Have two of them now and have had all four…
