JetBlue TrueBlue is currently selling points with a 125% bonus — while that offer is technically targeted, I haven’t yet heard of anyone not being targeted or being targeted for a different offer. That only lowers the points to a value of 1.43c per point, which isn’t a good deal since you’ll only get about that much value out of them when using them toward JetBlue award flights. However, since you only need to buy 3,000 points to unlock the bonus, this could be a good deal if you just need to top off for a valuable award or perhaps in some cases for Qatar Airways redemptions.
The Deal
- JetBlue TrueBlue is offering up to 125% bonus points when you buy points through 9/13/24

Key Terms
- Bonus point offer valid for point purchases between now and Sep 13, 2024 11:59pm ET.
- TrueBlue members who purchase 3,000 or more in a single transaction are eligible to receive a bonus.
- This bonus will be assigned to TrueBlue members and bonus points will be awarded in an amount equal to 125% of their point purchase.
- These TrueBlue points can be used towards award redemptions but do not earn tiles toward qualification for Mosaic status.
Quick Thoughts
I wouldn’t buy points if I just wanted to book JetBlue flights as you’ll mostly get around this value or less when redeeming TrueBlue points for JetBlue flights. It therefore wouldn’t make much sense to buy points.
That said, since you only need to buy 3,000 or more points to unlock the bonus, it could be worth it if you just need a small amount to top off for a specific award booking.
Keep in mind that you can book some partner awards with TrueBlue points (like for travel on Qatar Airways). It probably still wouldn’t make much sense to purchase if you’re buying all of the miles necessary for an award redemption — but, again, in the right circumstances you may want to buy to top off.
You think you are getting a good deal when you are not. JetBlue actually increased the prices of miles.. so its the same cost to buy 100k miles with the 125% bonus then when they had the other promotion last qtr with the 75% bonus.. I don’t like being tricked which is what I feel they are doing.
I have an upcoming trip I’m planning to take JetBlue for. If I were to buy the points with this bonus, it would be about $20/ticket cheaper than the cash rate for a Blue fare. I rarely fly this airline and don’t have status or care too much about the small amount of miles I would earn with a cash fare. Any other drawbacks of buying the points in this situation?
Are these purchases processed directly by JetBlue? I still have 50 off 200 Amex Platinum offer. Might make sense to buy the points if I could get Amex to chip in.
