Citi has added Qantas as a new 1 to 1 transfer partner from their ThankYou Rewards program. Citi now has 12 transfer partners, all of which can be found on Frequent Miler’s Transfer Partner Master List.
Qantas is a member of the OneWorld alliance and has a distance based award chart. This would be nice if it was competitive. However, prices look quite steep to me. Here’s their partner award chart:
It’s unfortunate that Citi hasn’t yet added British Airways (also a member of the OneWorld alliance) as a transfer partner. As of April 28th, 2015, here is the British Airways award chart:
My apologies if the above charts are too small to read. Suffice it to say that most British Airways awards are much cheaper than Qantas.

the partner chart is expensive, but what about redeeming Qantas miles for their own flights?
