There is a new targeted Amex Offer out that’s good for $50 back when you spend $100+ at Dell.com. While these targeted Dell offers come out a lot, this one is noteworthy in that the spend required to hit the bonus is much lower than usual while the cashback percentage is significantly higher.

If you can find this on a Business Platinum card it would be possible to stack this with the Amex Business Platinum’s $200 Dell credit. This offer is part of Amex’s “Member Week,” so you must enroll for the offer by 10/14/22 and make the purchase by 10/20/22.

Tips & Ideas

Normally, Dell Amex Offers are for $500+ of spend, with 20-25% off (ie, $120 off $599, $200 off $800, etc).  This one is much better as it’s 50% off of only $100 in spend.

But it’s much better if you can find it on a Business Platinum, as it will stack with the $200 twice-yearly Dell credits that are a feature of the card.

In my opinion, the best use for the BizPlat Dell credits (for most people) is to buy Xbox gift cards and either resell them or turn them into Microsoft credit on the Microsoft Store. This allows you to deposit up to a maximum of $1000 at any one time, effectively banking the $200 credits and reaching a much more useful amount.

See this post for step-by-step instructions on how to convert the Xbox digital cards into Microsoft store credit.

Xbox cards have recently had a 10% off code on Dell (currently GAME10), which allows you to buy $100 in XBox/Microsoft credit for $90. Note that the code only works with one item per transaction, and the maximum Xbox gift card denomination is $100. So, ifyou have a Business Platinum card, you’d need to make 3 separate transactions to apply the code to the whole kit-and-kaboodle while using the credit and the Amex Offer, but you’d be paying $20 for $300 in Xbox/Microsoft credit ($300-$30 10% code-$50 Amex offer-$200 Dell credit=$20).

If you have the the Amex offer on a personal card, using it to get $125 of Xbox/Microsoft credit for $62.50 is a still pretty good deal. Although the terms say “no gift cards,” in practice that has only applied to Dell gift cards, not Xbox

a heads up. My wife and I have 2 amex business platinum cards with $200 dell credit on each. There’s also a 10% back on dell purchases that I have activated on both cards. Capital one is also offering at least 15% credit. And, I’ve had a few emails from capital one that were offering 30% back and one $311. I tried to use both of those but they expire in like 24 hours and I missed the window. So, I just went online to Dell again hoping I might trigger another offer. Good stacking opportunity

Unable to find any Xbox gift cards on the Dell store. Even searched using item number from previous order. Big bummer as I’m trying to use the annual Dell credits on several Amex Business Platinum cards.

Having a big problem with this Amex offer – seeing if anyone can help me resolve this.

I ordered the Logitech Master Mouse and Dell Soundbar on Oct 13 for a total of $107.53 to get the $50 Amex offer. I only bought the soundbar to get it over the $100 mark and trigger the offer.
However, Dell shipped the Mouse delayed, on October 22, and billed that part of the total (which would have been over $100) separately.

This caused the Amex offer to not trigger. Amex says they won’t do anything for me, even though I ordered it on time, because the Merchant made the shipping date count as the sell date, even though it’s Dell’s fault shipping was delayed, and they charged my card late for half of the order, even though I have an email saying the whole order over $100 was made on Oct 13.

So I paid $50 more for the mouse than I was trying to pay, and never would have bought it at this price. Even worse, I didn’t want the sound bar.

Even worse yet, it’s now 2 days too late for me to return any of this crap to Dell, because I only had 30 days from October 13! So I’m stuck with overpriced items I did not want for these prices.

Any suggestions on how to get the $50 that I should get? This feels like a bait and switch, as I ordered on October 13. I told Amex I will cancel my card.

Looks like Dell stopped selling $100 xbox gc!
No longer on the site only $75

Nick Reyes

True. I bought a $75 and a $25 yesterday.

Andrew

Have you had any experience getting your ordered cancelled immediately? Tried pretty much everything. Only thing that kinda worked was calling it in which allowed 1 additional order after that before canceling everything else

Ben

I have now two registered dell offered on same Amex card :
1. $50 off $100
2. $120 off $599

What is going to happen if I make a $600 purchase? Will I get both offered applied?

Leila U.

I was hoping someone had the answer to this question, as well.

The terms say that the offer is not valid on “Dell Member Purchase Programs”. Does anyone have experience getting Amex offers to work when buying through the MPP on Dell’s website?

Max

A lot of Dell products have great deals with Honey – I saved $35 extra with Honey on a pair of headphones, which is awesome on top of the Amex deals

YoniPDX

Won $25 Dell Rewards – check emails

BTW if your a Dell Rewards member – check your emails from Dell rewards –
I was cleaning out my promotions inbox and saw this from 10.05.2022

“As our way of thanking you for being a Dell Rewards member, play this game for a chance to win an exclusive prize.”

kayexalate

Bummer. I have this on my biz plat, but used up my dell credits a couple weeks ago when Rakuten was at 10%. hopefully it’ll show up again in January!

D'Elle

The terms for the Spend $100+ Get $50 offer states that e-gift cards are excluded. Does that pertain only to Dell EGCs or to the Xbox ones as well?

D'Elle

Ooops, Never mind.

RD DD

They keep cancelling my order for the Xbox gift cards. I called and ‘verified’ myself but I am still having the issue of them cancelling my orders. Very frustrating since I have bought laptops, screens etc through my account with no issues

Jeff

Have you tried saving your credit card to your Dell profile first? I used to have my orders canceled every time, but since saving my credit card info on the site, I haven’t had a problem with the last two orders. Maybe a coincidence, but worth a try. The algorithms may think that a saved payment method is less likely to be fraud.

That doesn’t work. I had to call them up and they verified me. Then the system started cancelling orders because they thought I was a reseller. Even though this is my personal account and I only use it to get my business plat credits. I had to call up again and it finally went through

Is Microsoft hardware that much better than Dell?

satellite

How will this work with both 10% and $50 off? Does the transaction have to be $110 or $100 to trigger both deals? I.e. is 10% off first taken then the resulting total is used to determine if $50 applies?

I did a $105 transaction and got emails for both offers, but I’m not sure it will stick.

YoniPDX

It all depends – I got the emails , triple
Stacked with the $200 Biz Plat (Bought Bose sound Bar and other items all
with same deliver date this week) added the $50 off also had 10% off, plus 2% Rakuten. Order was about $350 ($200 – $50 – $35 = $285 or net cost of $65).

But something is being shipping from China and looks to be delivered not free 2 day but in a week (FedEx SMS)

But as long as the charge post should be fine AF hit but planning on canceling ( its getting to be a struggle to use the Dell Credit (I dont buy/resell the Xbox GC but a few 2 years ago – but they closed the local MS Store (B&M).

Amex had been pretty good a posting most credits/offers with seven days of it posting over the past few year in my personal experinces.

Worst case is I return it and get a credit if they dont post before the AF is due.
