Doctor of Credit has shared that targeted welcome offers for the American Express Delta credit cards which don’t have Amex’s standard “once in a lifetime” language have been refreshed again via this link. Because of this, the offers produced should be obtainable for folks who have had the cards before or who have them now (if you’re targeted). The points totals are identical to the current best public offers.
These offers are targeted and appear to be based on receiving a specific communication via snail or e-mail. Because of that, not everyone will be able to access them. That said, the link is an easy way to tell if you’re targeted, especially since it’s easy for the e-mails to go into a spam folder. My wife received personal offers using the link, but I got zilch (which is how it tends to go).
The Deal
- There is a link that produces current welcome offers for American Express Delta Sky Miles cards, but without the normal “once-in-a-lifetime” language.
- The offers are targeted, so not everyone will be able to produce them.
- In order to access the offers, you must click the link, enter your SkyMiles number and your last name.
- If the screen resets without showing you an offer (or says “Please verify your info,” you aren’t targeted.
- It’s worth double-checking any offer you receive to make certain that it doesn’t have lifetime language in the offer terms.

Quick Thoughts
Most Amex welcome bonuses come with the following “lifetime rule” restriction:
Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card.
Because of this, if you’ve ever had a given card before, you are usually prohibited from earning a welcome offer for that same card. (although, Amex is known to “forget” that you’ve had a card after about 5-7 years). In addition, Amex has expanded “family” language limits to the Platinum, Gold and Delta cards (among others). The offers available through this link have no lifetime language (NLL), so they aren’t bound by these restrictions.
These offers may be restricted to those who have either received a mailer (or e-mail), or to those who are on the list to receive one. Still, I frequently miss these sorts of communications, so this is a convenient way to double-check.
If you haven’t had the cards before, it’s worth noting that these offers are available via referral, so if you’re in 2-player mode you can make his offer even better with a household referral. You don’t even need a Delta card to refer someone, as referrals are possible from Membership Rewards (MR)-earning cards as well (ie, Amex Platinum, Gold, etc). Some folks are finding referral offers as high as 25-30K MR for referring a new cardholder.
If I received a snail mail invite for a Delta card, does that make it likely that I would be out of popup jail if I applied for that particular card?
I got targeted for the delta biz gold, however I’ve never had it before. Can I go and apply using the public(or referall IF possible) offer, wait 5 days, then apply with targeted NLL offer to get both bonuses? Will the targeted offer be pulled once I apply for public one? Any dp or history or things heard thru the grapevine on this?
I had a friend send me referral codes from 3 different Amex cards and none of them had the Delta business cards available on referral. Maybe a one-off but thought it was worth sharing.
That’s something we’ve noticed as well. The Delta Business cards don’t seem to be available for referral currently (and haven’t been for the last week or so).
Hopefully just a temporary thing, but we’ll see.
