The Dosh app recently added a couple of gas stations as card-linked partners which means you can earn more cashback when filling up with gas, while also taking advantage of some other stacking opportunities.
The Deals
- Earn 4% cashback at Circle K when paying with a Dosh-linked card
- Earn 3% cashback at Marathon when paying with a Dosh-linked card
- If you’re new to Dosh, feel free to sign up using one of our referral links. We’ll earn $10 when you sign up and connect and verify your first card, but I’m not entirely sure what you’ll receive as a signup bonus. It used to be $5, then they reduced it to $1, but I’m not sure if it’s gone back up now or not.

Quick Thoughts
These offers aren’t quite as good as I thought they were at first glance, because I initially saw Dosh referring to these offers as giving ‘in-store instant cash back’. That ‘in-store’ element is what caught my eye as I figured it might be possible to buy gift cards in Circle K and/or Marathon stores. With limits of $10 and $5, you could max it out each day by spending $250 or $166.67 at Circle K and Marathon respectively.
Unfortunately I then saw that the terms stated that this is only available when filling up with gas at the pump. I haven’t had a chance yet to test out whether that’s enforced, so there’s a possibility that it’ll work in-store, but I certainly wouldn’t count on it. Even if it is only valid when filling up with gas, these offers could still be useful for saving money – especially when stacking with other deals. (Update: Dean has confirmed in the comments below that an in-store transaction did track.)
For starters, there’s GetUpside. That’s an app which offers cashback when filling up at thousands of gas stations nationwide. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen both Circle K and Marathon gas stations in the app before, but it might vary by region.
There have also been targeted Circle K Chase Offers at times recently giving 10% back. I don’t have that on any of my cards at the moment, but if you’re targeted for that offer – and provided it’s valid when filling up with gas rather than for in-store purchases – that’s a total of 14% cashback you’d be earning when combined with the Dosh offer.
You can then pay with a card that earns more at gas stations. This sadly might not work with 10x on new Amex Platinum cards though. When looking at the offers in the Dosh app, the Circle K offer states that my closest location only works when paying by Visa, while my closest location for the Marathon offer states that it only works with Visa and Mastercard. That might vary by region too, so be sure to check the app before filling up to ensure you’re paying with an eligible card.
If you’re filling up at Marathon, you can also save money and earn Wyndham Rewards or Southwest Rapid Rewards points thanks to their partnership with both programs. This was launched 2-3 years ago but I’d forgotten all about it until now. If you’ve not signed up for Marathon’s MakeItCount Rewards program, you’ll get 10c off per gallon for your first month. After that you’ll get 5c off per gallon, plus you’ll earn Wyndham Rewards or Southwest Rapid Rewards points depending on which program you choose when signing up.
I’m not sure if you saw this, but Belk is selling $100 gift cards for only $75 each this weekend. Deal ends today.
Dosh has a history of being clawback-happy. Expect the worst, hope for the best.
As a DP, my Circle K Amazon GC purchase tracked but it took 3-4 days, unlike the Office Depot and WM offers.
That’s good to know – thanks!
