Quick Thoughts
As always with these Flying Blue Promo Rewards, the prices listed above are of the “from xx,xxx miles” nature. As a result, awards will sometimes be the price listed, while other times you might find them a little more expensive or, in some rare cases, even cheaper.
Award availability at these prices normally dries up fairly quickly, although at the moment it looks like there’s a decent amount of availability to Europe from Boston at least in economy. Here’s Boston-Prague in October:
In case you’re wondering how to get that calendar view, when doing your initial search you just have to leave the travel dates blank. Something worth noting is that the calendar view often seems to be a day off, so if you see a lower price on, say, October 19th, that price might not be available when clicking on that date but will be available on October 20th instead.
In the past it often seemed that flying beyond the hubs of Paris and Amsterdam for Air France and KLM respectively would get you lower award pricing than having one of those cities be your final destination. In recent months, we’ve found that to not be the case, with Paris and Amsterdam offering the cheapest pricing. For example, here’s Miami to Paris in February at that lowest 12,750 mile rate:
Every single one of the many promo awards to Prague is the exact same amount. Where do you get “from xx up”?
Thank you for sharing. Has anyone tried rebooking one of those fairs without getting charged for the $50 cancellation fee successfully ?
Only when there’s a schedule change.
