Aegean Airlines is running a promotion to celebrate 20 years of its Miles+Bonus loyalty program. They’re giving everyone who enters free miles of varying amounts; while some bonuses are as low as 500 miles, it has an upper limit of 2 million miles with some reporting getting 25,000 miles.
The Deal

- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Expires December 23, 2022.
- During the Activation, miles will be gifted – from 500 miles up to 2,000,000 miles – to all participants. Following the completion of each participation, winners will be notified instantly about the number of miles earned.
Quick Thoughts
I didn’t have an Aegean Airlines Miles+Bonus account previously, so I created one especially for this promotion. Aegean asks you to select a milestone event (e.g. anniversary, running a marathon, etc.) and select a city to visit in order to participate, then you’ll be awarded with free miles.
I received 1,000 miles, as did my wife. Tim received 2,500 miles and has seen reports of people earning up to 25,000 miles. It’s therefore worth taking part in this promotion in case you earn 25,000 miles or more as that’s a meaningful number of miles. The downside is that Aegean isn’t a partner of any transferable currencies, so you’d need to credit flights to them in order to earn enough for redemptions if the number of miles you win isn’t sufficient to do that.
I have four accounts (family) and received 1K, 2K, 3K and 5K. I’m happy.
1k for signing up and 5k for the milestone promo.
Tried to register 5x today. Won’t accept input from iPad.
Thanks so much for pointing this one out. Myself + spouse + 4 kids
Total 60k miles = 3k + 1k + 3k +30k + 20k + 3k
Which category/card flip did you select to get the 30k? they have school, weddings, anniversaries, yoga etc..
I was once a sceptic…..but just won 60,000 miles :O
Which category did you select to get the 60k? they have school, weddings, anniversaries, yoga etc..
I chose food. A buddy of mine also chose food and got 60k
Thanks, Stephen. 6,000 for me and 3,500 for P2 (including 1,000 for signing up).
Anyone else having a hard time registering for an account with them first? It won’t go through no matter what I do
I got 20000 and my wife the same. That puts both of us over 25000 each. Now comes the hard part – find award availability on United.
True that. Is aegean famous for having crap UA availability?
Last year i found a United flight on A3, but right now nothing
Thanks Stephen I received 2,500 miles with a couple clicks!
Might mention Aegean is Star Alliance member airline.
I earned 3,000 miles from this offer. Also earned about 6,000 miles for United Airlines $400 Basic Economy K fare SFO-MUC/FRA-SFO and LOT Polish flights between Gdansk and Krakow in past month.
In April 2023 I will qualify for 5th year Star Alliance Gold with Aegean Miles+Bonus Gold. Only requires 12,000 Tier Points + 4 Aegean flight segments to renew. My $400 United ticket SFO to Gdansk, Poland I just completed picked up 6,000 Tier Points.
In April I will fly to Oslo, Norway on a $376 United ticket and return to SFO from Tallinn, Estonia.
Trip flying Aegean from Oslo to Greece in April 2023 for a few nights, then fly somewhere else in Europe will cost about $250 for 4 flight segments on Aegean and Olympic airlines.
About $1,050 to maintain Aegean Miles+Bonus Gold/Star Alliance Gold is inexpensive way to benefits like free checked bag, Star Alliance airport lounge access including United Club in USA, and Priority boarding.
!k – i signed up last year to get the 6K, so now i’m at 7k. interesting…
I instantly won 500 miles, and my wife 1000, but my dog got 25k. Woot, woot, or should I say woof woof
They gave me 1,000 miles simply for signing up and then I got 1,500 miles from this promo.
Isn’t that just 2500 miles you’ll never use?
100%
Looks like you can exchange 2000 Aegean miles for 500 Accor ALL points. Now, whether it will let you use promotional/non-flight-earned miles for that, I can’t say. Based on past experience with orphaned promo points like this, probably not, but might be worth trying.
No. Just tried…
Darn. Oh well.
