Gyft is offering a 15% discount when you buy $50 gift cards for Hotels.com and use promo code TRAVEL19.
The Deal
- Pay $42.50 for a $50 Hotels.com gift card with Gyft when using promo code TRAVEL19.
Key Terms
- Expires May 31, 2019 at 9pm ET.
- Limit 2 per household.
Quick Thoughts
Up to now, Gyft has coded as 5x/5% when paying with a Chase Ink Plus or Ink Cash card via PayPal. That hasn’t changed as far as I’m aware, although with Swych losing its 5x coding, I wouldn’t necessarily count on Gyft always coding that way too.
Hotels.com gift cards can – in theory – be combined. That’s helpful seeing as you can only apply one gift card per registration. However, their online tool which allowed you to combine balances hasn’t been working for several weeks/months, so if you’re wanting to combine these balances then you’ll have to call 1-888-999-4468.
[…] The Hotels.com gift card part of this deal isn’t very exciting seeing as you can frequently buy their gift cards at a 15%+ discount (e.g. through Gyft right now). […]
Pretty sure they make you log into a paypal acct.
I tried to do this over the weekend and got an error message multiple times about not being able to process my order. I finally just gave up and used a different route
Do you use a VPN? I think I’ve had issues getting orders through on Gyft when using it, but turning it off temporarily has gotten the transactions through.
No VPN. Was trying to buy a $500 Aa gc, not sure if it was just the amount or what. I did catch the recent whole foods 10% off and it worked fine. Same phone same app same PPal and CC, not sure what their issue was.
Does paying with Paypal require a Paypal account? Thanks.
I don’t think so – I think you can effectively do a guest checkout with PayPal.
I tried now on Android and can confirm that a Paypal login is required.
“Can take up to 24 hours to process your order”.
Utterly ridiculous.
I’m guessing that might happen if a transaction is flagged for fraud. From what I can remember of all my past Gyft purchases though, the gift cards are made available immediately.
