Quick Thoughts

I love that this promo runs through the entire peak summer travel season.  Hilton has run similar promotions frequently in the past, and they’re as good as advertised.  If you’re a Hilton Aspire cardholder, you’ll earn 54 points per dollar when paying with that card for stays of three or more nights.  That’s phenomenal.  Here’s how it adds up:

  • 10 points per dollar (base points)
  • 10 points per dollar (bonus points for Diamond status)
  • 20 points per dollar (bonus points from this promotion)
  • 14 points per dollar (bonus points earned by paying with the Aspire card)

If you’re only staying one or two nights your return will be 44 points per dollar which is still a very good earnings rate.

Points Adventure

Works on award stays per FAQ:

Will I earn Bonus Points for Reward Stays with the “More Nights, More Points” promotion?

Yes, as long as a member earned Base Points as part of the Reward Stay members will earn Bonus Points based on their number of Base Points earned.

Maurice

Perfect! I have a three night award stay at Crockfords in Las Vegas using Hilton Amex free night certificate. This will be a perfect stack with the $250 Aspire resort credit, $100 off $500 Conrad & LXR Amex offer I added to my Aspire through Amex Connect and earning at least 28,000 points back on a $500 stay. I am sure the $50 per day credit for 2 people won’t be enough, so this will definitely help cover the remaining charges.

Impressive stacking. Congratulations!

I’m confused. If you’re on a reward stay, I thought you don’t earn any base points, so thus would not receive any 2x or 3x from this promo. Am I missing something?

Andy

They’re expecting food, incidental, or other types of charges.

If they spent nothing at the hotel, then you’d be correct, no benefit from this promo.
