Agree with other comments that the Couponing is getting annoying. I’m strategizing better than the Savor 3x is the Hilton Surpass which when you add in the value of the FNC after spending 15K on these same 2 categories yields 7% return on spend versus 6% (using the FM 1.5ct RRV). 1st caveat is that you need to hit 15K spend and don’t go too much over that for the 7%. 2nd caveat is that the 7% is assuming you are using it at least a $600 room value.
As I listened to the Coffee Break and it was approaching the end, I was wondering “When are Greg and Nick going to tell me something I don’t already know??” Then right near the end . . . WHAM . . . out came the fact that you can use the Dunkin App to pay at Baskin Robbins. Now that is of value to me, as Baskin Robbins stores are much more convenient in my location than Dunkin Donuts outlets. Thanks for another valuable presentation!
Unless the Baskin Robbins I went to didn’t know how to process gift cards, I couldn’t pay with the Dunkin’ app. So, the BR option may be location-dependent.
Greg, check out Stillwater Grill in Brighton (20 miles north of Ann Arbor). It has good food and participates with Resy. That is where I use my Resy credits.
Thank you to the FM team, you provide tremendous value to me and my family
this pod confirmed that Amex Gold is not for us long-term, the headspace that the coupon book would occupy is not worth it
May just get for the SUB and then convert to another product, YMMV
I was thinking the same thing. For a typical customer a zero annual fee CapOne Savor with 3x grocery / dining saves so much time and thought compared to the hoops for Amex 4x.
RESY- We use this every month at restaurants we already go to
Uber-Dont use uber and use them @eats pickup but the food is ALWAYS 10-20% higher than ordering direct
Dining-We hate 5 guys, but usually once a month get Jersey Mikes via grubhub
Dunkin-We live in the land of Tim Hortons so its of no use.On NYS Thruway the app is not accepted.
So the resy credit is the only one we like.
agree about uber eats…it’s a wash with the markup. Fortunately, we get costco 20% discounted uber gift cards so add that in and it’s a win…but like CJA said, too much headspace dealing with the couponing. I’m planning to cx.
I haven’t had any issue with putting more than $100 in my Dunkin reload account.
yea, this is the biggest no brainer for me. add $10 auto each month to the card, get $7 auto rebate, and let them just add up and when we hit a Dunkin which we do a few times a year, we have that never expiring credits ready to use. this is really free money that we don’t have to use head space as CJA said above. However, all the rest of the coupons do require a monthly plan to use or the value isn’t there especially since i have a better grocery card than 4x with Freedom at 10x and have other options for dining as well.
You could just add $7 each month.
