Quick Thoughts

Note that there’s a minimum fare requirement of $50 before taxes and fees for one-way flights or $100 for round trip flights in order to have the promo code be eligible.

That still means it’s possible to get some pretty cheap flights. Depending on how things are priced on cheaper routes such as SFO-LAX, you might find that the discount makes Blue fares marginally cheaper than Blue Basic.

Blue Basic fares are eligible for the promo code though provided they come to $50+ before taxes and fees.

Although JetBlue TrueBlue points redemptions are linked to the cost of flights, this airfare sale doesn’t seem to be impacting on the award costs when using promo code NEWYEAR – it only seems to offer a discount on paid flights.

This sale is valid on flights for much of Q1 (other than Fridays and Sundays), but you have to book by Wednesday December 13 in order to get the discount.
