Earlier we reported that there are exciting new offers out on the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and Marriott Bonvoy business cards. Today we are also seeing new increased offers on both of the Chase-issued Marriott credit cards: the Marriott Bonvoy Bold and Marriott Bonvoy Boundless. While these offers are a bit less exciting and might be less attractive because of the complex Marriott credit card rules, they are nonetheless very strong offers that are worth considering if you’re in the market for a Chase Marriott card.

Quick Thoughts

I definitely find the offers on the Amex cards more interesting in terms of the value of the bonuses. Furthermore, while it is possible to get bonuses on both Amex cards (and therefore also collect annual elite nights for both a consumer and business card), opening a Chase Marriott card throws a wrench in one’s ability to get an additional Marriott card for a while (see our Marriott Bonvoy Complete Guide for more on the complex eligibility rules for Marriott credit cards).

That said, the bonuses on the Chase Marriott cards are also quite strong. I imagine most readers would be more interested in the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card. As noted in the previous post, the 50K free night certificate should get you around $300 in value domestically if you’re able to use it wisely and 125,000 points are easily worth north of $700, so you should be able to get great value out of the bonus.

I’d be less excited about the Bold unless you’re merely opening it as a means to upgrade to the Ritz-Carlton Visa Infinite card down the road. Those who want the Ritz card will need to wait a year from opening one of these Chase Marriott cards to request a product change, but thus far the Ritz card has still been available for product change provided your Chase Marriott card has been open for a year or more. The Bold card doesn’t otherwise offer much ongoing value and neither is the welcome bonus very exciting compared to the other Marriott cards.

Overall, it is great to see the welcome bonus boom keep chugging along, though I am less enthusiastic about these offers than others.

Does anyone know a way to refer someone for the 125k + FN for the Boundless? My referral link just has the 3FN certificates offer. Not nearly as good.

Josh

Does anyone know how long it takes for the free night certs from the sign up bonus to be in your account once you hit the spend?
Trying to plan a trip in December, wondering if it will be enough time for me to actually use the certs

Tony

Can I stack the 15 elite nights from Chase along with the 30 elite nights i get from amex’s personal and business card ? So can i have 45 free elite nights a year ? And my apologies if you have been asked this many times before lol

PeterSFO

No, it’s 30 total: 15 from any business card (I think Chase has a legacy Marriott biz card) and 15 from any personal car.
