Quick Thoughts
The best option with these Happy gift cards is to buy Happy Lady gift cards. Those can be used at Bed Bath & Beyond, which sells third party gift cards. In the past, it was easy to buy those 3rd party cards with a Happy card, though we reported last month that MetaBank added terms to the Happy cards stating that Happy cards can’t be used to buy other gift cards. I’ve not yet seen reports as to whether this is hard-coded into the registers, so YMMV as to whether or not you can use them that way — but if it still works, this is an easy way to score 5x and a cash discount. Be sure you’re using a card that earns one of the best category bonuses at office supply stores.

Besides the Happy Cards you mentioned, when going to Home Depot to buy one of their 3rd party GCs, can you use the generic $200 Visa Debit/GCs bought from Office Depot/Staples?
