The Rakuten portal is offering up to 15-20% back at hundreds of retailers, or 15-20x if you use your account to earn Membership Rewards. That’s a great return at many of these stores, but you’ll need to move quickly as this increased rate is only available today (November 28th).
There appears to be a targeted element to at least some of these offers. The main landing page shows up 15% off, but Greg received an e-mail with 20% listed (and sees that offer when he logs in). However, the rest of the FM team sees 15% max when they log-in to their accounts, even using Greg’s link. Most of the retailers show same discount for all of us, but the retailers that are offering 20% off for Greg show as 15% off for the rest of us.
The Deal
- Earn up to 15-20X at many retailers through the Rakuten shopping portal.
- Expires November 28th, 2022.
Direct link to offer (must log-in to see if you are targeted for 20%)
If you’re not a Rakuten Member and would like to use one of our referral links, you’ll find them below. There’s currently a referral offer where each side gets $40 after the referred party spends $40 within the first 90 days after signing up:
Quick Thoughts
15/20% cashback is a great rate for many of the participating retailers, although 15/20x Membership Rewards is an even better return if you prefer Membership Rewards points.
I took a look through the list of stores and some that stood out to me include:
- Macy’s: 15x
- Saks Fifth Avenue: 15X
- Hotels.com 10X
- Dell 15X
- Samsung 15X
- Expedia Things to Do 15X
If you haven’t used up your Amex Platinum Saks Fifth Avenue credit, today is a great day to do so. Same story if you haven’t yet used up your Amex Business Platinum Dell credit.
There are some offers that are labeled “just for you” and so appear to be targeted:
Because of this, some folks may find better offers than I can see on my account or when I browse without logging-in.
Many of these rates are great, but be sure to compare payouts against other portals, espeically today. Cashbackmonitor.com is a great tool for finding the best rates.
I guess Rakuten likes Greg better…
I mean, who wouldn’t?
Dell is super frustrating. Trying to buy Xbox gift cards and they keep canceling due to what they are saying is fraud. Trying to buy 200 each time for amex spend. Anyone else had this problem. They keep pointing to their terms and conditions for cancel and I keep telling them it is for personal use. Sooo frustrating! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
