Rakuten is offering 11% cash back at hundreds of retailers, or 11x if you have your account set earn Membership Rewards. That’s a great return at many of these stores, but you’ll need to act quickly as this increased rate is only available today (November 11).
The Deal
- Earn 11%/11x at 200+ retailers through the Rakuten shopping portal.
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Expires November 11, 2022.
Quick Thoughts
11% cashback is a great rate for many of the participating retailers, although 11x Membership Rewards is an even better return.
I took a look through the list of stores and some that stood out to me include:
- IHG
- Groupon
- Macy’s (15%/15x if shopping online)
- JCPenney
- Bass Pro Shops
- Viator
- Cabela’s
- Gap
As always, be sure to check Cashback Monitor to see how these rates compare and also bear in mind that many of the airline portals are currently offering bonuses when meeting spending thresholds.
For example, 15%/15x (at the time of writing this) seems to be the highest rate for Macy’s. However, the Topcashback shopping portal is offering 15.75% for Macy’s today. Personally, I woud take the 15x MR over 15.75% cash back, but if you’re simply looking for the money, TCB offers a better return.
There are alternative stacking opportunities too. Saks Fifth Avenue is 11%/11x today, so if you haven’t used up the $50 Saks benefit on a personal Amex Platinum card, this could be a good opportunity to do that. Same goes for Dell Technologies, if you still have a Business Platinum $200 Dell credit clanging around your account.
Maybe it’s just me, but Dell and Samsung at 11% cashback stand out more than Macy’s or Gap.
I see 11% for Macy’s, and not 15%. Am I missing something?
11% for today but if I book a hotel through their WEB site but my stay isn’t for a few months will I still get the 11%?
Yes, the cash back rate is locked in when you make your travel reservation.
