Quick Thoughts
Red Roof Inn properties are far from being aspirational, but some of them are perfectly fine to stay at. We’ve stayed at a couple in recent years and they were nice enough stays for their price, but be sure to check reviews first because some of their properties have poor ratings.
A feature of Red Roof Inn hotels that can be particularly useful for some travelers is that they’re all pet-friendly and none of them charge a pet fee. If you’ve ever traveled with dogs, you’ll know that pet fees can sometimes be as expensive as the room rate for one night, so not being charged any fee can save you substantial sums of money.
As with most hotel chains, you can earn cashback / rewards by clicking through to Red Roof Inn from a shopping portal – you can find the current rates here and here.
I accidentally added a Red Roof Reward on my Chase account and I want to get rid of it.

Honest to goodness no offense meant, Stephen, but I play all these points and miles games promoted by Frequent Miler so I don’t have to stay at a Red Roof Inn
Has anyone been to any decent RedRoof Inn? I’ve only stayed once and it was beyond my imagination.
There’s an ultra vintage chairs, sand (grits?) over pillow, tobacco burn hole on comforter (it was non-smoking) and I found a fossilized cheese burger in the microwave.
Though I didn’t get bedbug bites, that RedRoof was the apex of my lodging experience in North America.
