Safeway (and likely its affiliates) are offering a discount on groceries when you purchase select Happy Gift Cards via Just4U coupons through 12/19/18. These coupons are good for either $7.50 off when you buy $50 or more in Happy Gift Cards or $15 off when you buy $150 or more in Happy Guy gift cards. These can be a great way to save while buying a wide variety of brands.

Quick Thoughts
If you’re a fan of these Happy cards, this is a decent little discount. Some versions are more useful than others – you’ll have to check the stores at which each works and decide which carry things you’d like to buy. The discounts are decent on their own, but get even better when you stack with a card that earns one of the Best Category Bonuses at US Supermarkets.

Just got a few at my local Safeway. Very easy! Now I gotta use them. 🙂
Are these actually $7.50 off the card or is a $7.50 credit applied to your overall store purchase as it clearly says ‘save $7.50 ON YOUR GROCERIES when you buy a card.’ That implies to me that the discount comes off your remaining store bill for other purchases, not a flat discount of the card.
One other thing NIck…my local Safeway didn’t carry any HAPPY GC’s but they did have a bunch of the similar looking ‘dine anywhere’ ones for restaurants. These are issued by MetaBank via GiftCard Mall. At first I thought it was just a rebranding of the Happy ones, but they are actually different….it’s the same concept with the same color schemes and almost the same participating restaurants within but slightly different. May be confusing to folks looking to get a Happy one.

I think you mean the “Dining Out” cards. GiftCardMall has a few other similarish ideas as the Happy ones. Good to note for the future that they are something different!
