I received an email today from the cash back portal, Simply Best Coupons, stating that the cash back rate for Amex gift cards will jump to 2% cash back next Wednesday (5/6/2015). This is for business gift cards only.
The current best unrestricted cash back rate (that I know of) is 1.5% (via CashBackMonitor). TopCashBack has been offering “up to” 2% cash back, but only for gift cards with maximum $200 values.
Performance Bonus: 2.1% total cash back
Performance Bonus:If you purchased Amex Gift Cards from our site in the past, we will deposit extra 5% bonus on total orders $20K+ on 5/6, this will bring your cash back to 2.1%.Bonus will be deposited on 6/20/15.
My understanding is that it is OK to place multiple smaller orders. As long as your total for the day exceeds $20,000, you should get the extra bonus.
Referral and referral warning
If you haven’t yet registered for Simply Best Coupons, you’ll find a signup link here (along with many other useful links). If you use my link, you’ll get a $5 bonus when you register and I’ll earn a 5% referral bonus each time you earn rewards from this portal, up to a maximum of $50.
Note this warning from the Simply Best Coupons email:
Please note: creating multiple accounts/identities and self-referring in order to get an extra bonus for own orders will get your account blocked and cashback forfeited. Why risk it?
Caution
In order to ensure earning portal cash back, do not buy Amex gift cards with denominations greater than $2000. It is OK to buy multiple $2000 cards at once, just stay away from those $3000 card. Also, do not use promo codes for free shipping or for fee free gift cards as those promo codes will also invalidate cash back.

I have been turned down a few times using my own SSN. Do we really need a EIN number to purchase business AGCs? Can I apply a EIN and just use for purchase AGCs?
Yes, that would probably help (applying for an EIN to use for buying AGCs)
BeFrugal is 2% right now for Biz cards, though CashBackMonitor doesn’t even show BF right now. They’re almost always missing the highest cashback for Amex GCs.
