Staples offers fee-free $200 Visa gift cards in-store about once per month, but they’ve just launched a flash sale offering the same deal online. You’ll have to be quick though because it’s due to end tonight but could end even sooner.
The Deal
- Buy $200 Visa gift cards from Staples.com with no purchase fee.
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Expires August 10, 2022.
- Limit 3.
Quick Thoughts
If you have Staples stores nearby that always have a healthy supply of $200 Visa gift cards whenever they run fee-free deals, this online offer might not be quite as enticing. However, for anyone who lives somewhere with no Staples footprint or whose stores never have any $200 Visa gift cards in stock, this is a nice opportunity to buy a few cards with no purchase fee.
Needless to say, the best payment option will be a card that earns more at office supply stores like the Chase Ink Cash and Ink Plus cards. It’s also worth clicking through from a shopping portal in case the purchase tracks – here are the current rates.
Staples is also offering 15% discounts on $50 gift cards for Uber, DoorDash, Chipotle and Choice Treat Yourself, with each of those having a limit of 3 per brand too.
All of these gift card deals are due to end tonight (August 10), but they might sell out even earlier in the day than that – particularly the Visa gift card deal. It’d therefore be best to buy any cards you’re interested in ASAP to ensure you don’t miss out.
Got it a little after noon Central time. Was not charged shipping. Also picked up three of the Treat Yourself cards which I think I can convert to Macy’s and resell for a slight profit.
Appreciate the heads-up. Order placed. The Uber etc. cards with the 15% are sold out. Only treat yourself left.
Just got it! It is still available 8/10 @ 9:41 AM..went through Rakuten, we will see if it tracks
If you have digital Visa gift cards, but can only liquidate physical ones, this is a good way to turn a digital card into a physical one for free.
Ship USPS?

was signed in….also wanted to charge me $7.95 “surcharge” fee for buying Choice Treat Yourself egift cards. Was told by chat it is a “regional” thing, which makes no sense.
Out of stock…
My order just went through, unless you are saying they let you make an order then cancelled it. I do not know if the in/out of stock is a regional thing?
