Early this week, US Bank officially launched its new Amazon Business Cards for new applications.
In and of itself, the card is interesting to Amazon Prime customers, as it earns 5% back at Amazon, AWS, and Whole Foods, and 2% back on your top 3 monthly non-Amazon categories (the non-Prime version is 3%).
The initial launch includes what appears to be a dynamic welcome offer, which varies by account (the application flow prompts you to log in). When my wife and I look at it, it’s surprisingly lame: $100 back after $3,000 in spend. However, we’ve seen reports of people receiving offers of up to $750 back on that same $3k in spend. Quick Thoughts
$100 on $3k spend is pretty laughable, especially when the personal version of the card gives a $150 Amazon gift card on approval. $750 on $3k? That starts to get interesting. If you’re interested in the card, it’s worth checking to see what your offer is.
If you had an Amex Business Prime card previously and canceled it, you are eligible for a welcome offer on the US Bank version. Also, US Bank business cards don’t report to credit agencies, so this card won’t count towards your Chase 5/24 count, unlike the personal Amazon card.

i got this card yesterday, $250 amazon gift card for no spend.
When I played around with this on Wednesday, I pretty much saw different offers at different times of the day – so if you’re pulling the $100 for 3K offer, check again later or on another device/browser
(finally got the $200 gift card for no spend offer to come up, and was offered an additional $50 after approval if I opened an Amazon Business account, received both gift cards instantly)
