UseYourCredits: Track coupons, use their handy maps

12

Nick has created and published a popular coupon book tracker spreadsheet. However, if you’d prefer to use a polished app, there’s a new tool called UseYourCredits. The tool is designed to make it easy to keep track of your many credit card coupons, ranging from merchant credits like Lululemon and Saks, to flight credits, companion certificates, and free nights. I haven’t actually used these features yet (the tool only allows tracking a few cards without buying a subscription), but I wanted to point out that the tool offers a couple of handy maps that you can use for free without even creating an account

Resy Map

Both the American Express Platinum Card® and the American Express® Gold Card offer credits for eligible spend at restaurants listed on the Resy booking platform. To earn those credits, you don’t need to book a restaurant through Resy, you just need to use your card directly at one of the listed restaurants. UseYourCredits’ map makes it easy to find Resy restaurants in your area, and it displays key information about each restaurant:

Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables

The Sapphire Reserve® card includes twice annual $150 credits for spend at restaurants that are part of Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables. UseYourCredit’s map makes it easy to find participating restaurants near you:

Discount: Frequent Miler does NOT have a business relationship with UseYourCredits, but they have offered us a discount code, 20FM, for 20% off subscriptions through 10/31/25.

I am confused: if I order a gift card online, but I want to use it at an upcoming reservation, how do I actually use that E-Gift card which is in my email?

Anita

Does the site know which credits you’ve used already and what remains, or is it simply a list of possible credits? This would be very useful if it tracked what money is still on the table, but if just a list of possible credits that will send me to my various logins to check I’ve used…not so useful.

UseYourCredits

Hello! It keeps track of what you used, so it’ll let you know what you have left for the current period. E.g. if I use $48 at Resy, it’ll let me know I still have $52 left for the quarter on my Plat. You need to enter manually, we did this on purpose so that you don’t need to give up all your financial information to keep track of credits.

For anyone that has used it yet, how does this tool work with monthly vs annual credits? Does it track them individually (i.e. $10 wireless credit each month) or annually ($120 for the year)? Is this automatic or do you have to manually update the app?

UseYourCredits

Hello! It keeps track of the smallest increment appropriate for a credit. So $120/yr wireless, it keeps track of the actual value that Amex keeps track of, which is $10/mo x 12. $400/year in Resy credits, it’ll keep track of $100 x 4.

It’s manual, my wife and I are very against giving anyone else access to all our finances so we wanted a tool that didn’t directly access your accounts. It works for some, not for others, but privacy is top of mind for us.

The Amex Delta Reserve also gets $20/month credit at Resy restaurants.

Nice site, I’ll be visiting it twice a year. They should add a current location to EST time zone converter for those with a Strata Elite. “Pro” accounts get a Text, Email, and Robocall when their time zone hits 6pm EST 😛

I know (think?) you’re joking but if this would actually be an interesting feature for you, send me an email at support@useyourcredits.com. I’d love to understand how you’d use it.

The Resy map is super helpful. You can do it on the Resy site but the Resy site is needlessly complicated to use. This is a lot simpler.

Brutus

This site is just a reminder of how worthless these credits are for many of us.

Agreed, some can be a real pain to use. I don’t know how many Indeed credits I’ve let just die. I’m trying to reduce the friction to using them through the benefit guides–highest return on credit for least amount of effort. Hilton dining, Resy gift cards, United Travel Bank, etc. Things that I can either do from home or not have to go out of my way to cash in on.
