Fee-free physical and eGift Vanilla Gift Cards are available at VanillaGift.com with promo code FLASH22. Be careful — Stephen reports at GC Galore that VanillaGift purchases have recently coded as a cash advance on Amex cards. However, these cards could be useful for those looking to meet an end-of-year spending bonus.

Quick Thoughts
VanillaGift runs these deals from time to time and they can be useful in the right set of circumstances. I’m not aware of any particular category bonus, so these cards are mostly just appealing for “everywhere else” spend or those looking to meet a spending bonus (or they could presumably be good for last-minute holiday gifts). Just heed the warning on Amex as apparently some have been hit with cash advance fees by Amex (and Amex may claw back spending bonuses or welcome bonuses if you’re meeting the spending requirements with very obvious gift card purchases like this). I’m not aware of any particular issue buying these cards with a credit card from any other issuer.

I have Barclays Mastercard. Also failed.
Anyone else having trouble getting a transaction to process with Chase? Tried my new SW Biz and personal cards and neither went through. I’ve never bought from Vanilla before, so perhaps that’s it…but I had no problems a couple days ago with GC.com
They seem to take Paypal, for those who haven’t maxed out their quarterly Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex cards.
This code appears to only only work on e-gift cards
