Quick Thoughts

As you can see, it’s now possible to earn 60,000 bonus points on the no-fee Wyndham Earner card, with 90,000 bonus points available on the Wyndham Earner Plus and Wyndham Earner Business cards which have $75 and $95 annual fees respectively.

All of these bonuses have a two-tier spending requirement, with one chunk of points coming after $1,000 of spend in the first 90 days and the second chunk coming after a total of $2,000 of spend within six months of getting the card. Earning 60,000 points on the Earner and 90,000 on the Earner Plus and Earner Business cards are all the highest bonuses we’ve seen on those cards.

While not as spectacular as the 125k + 15x offer on the Amex Platinum card, earning up to 90,000 bonus points is a solid offer. If you were to get the Wyndham Earner Business card and spent the entire $2,000 at gas stations (which might not be too hard depending on which gas stations you have near you and what they sell in-store), you’d end up with a total of 106,000 points as you’d be earning 8x on that $2,000 of spend as gas stations are a bonus category. Although it’s not quite as good, the Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus card offers 6x at gas stations.

106,000 points is almost enough for eight free nights at a 1 bedroom Vacasa property seeing as those ordinarily cost 15,000 points per night but which gets reduced to 13,500 points per night thanks to the 10% award discount benefit on the Plus and Business cards.

A $1,000 spend requirement within three months for the first tier and $2,000 spend requirement within six months for the second tier should be easy for most people to hit as that’s only an average of $333.33 per month. If you’re currently focusing on other welcome bonuses though, there might not be an urgent need to apply for one of these Wyndham cards as it looks like these increased welcome offers are due to be around until October 14. That’s three months from today to be able to apply, so you could apply later this summer or fall which would then give you the holiday season and beyond to complete the spend.

Got the business card. Can I cycle the CL without issues, say 3-4 times for 1 month only to quickly build up a stash?

FIPhile

I got both the Earner Plus and Business card a few months ago when the SUB was 45k points. Has anyone tried and been successful applying for the no fee Wyndham Earner card while already holding Earner Plus card?

Jennifer

Does anyone know if there is an annual limit on the 8x gas purchases?

Phil McCracken

Just got instant instant approval on the personal Earner Plus

Accounts opened: 8/24 (so much for the 6/24 “rule”)
FICO: 819
Most recent Barclaycard: JetBlue, closed April 2021
Total credit/charge cards: 11

Perfect timing for me, I was planning to go for the biz in the next couple months anyway.

Also just got the card, and haven’t even gotten the bonus (should be posting to my account within a few days). I called in and tried to get matched, they said they couldn’t, but I asked them to please escalate it. We’ll see where it goes.

JL100

Man I got the card when it was 45,000 – up for renewal in October, but I bet this offer will be around by the time I cancel and wait a month….

Larry K

Can anyone confirm that business does not count toward 5/24?

Tom

It does not count towards 5/24.

Brian

I applied for the biz and got told I was under review. I don’t have very high hopes–Barclays is super tough. I applied under my real small business name so if I get denied maybe I’ll wait a few months and try again for the biz under my own name.

John

Ugh just got the business card several months ago and the personal card two days ago. Time to try a match.

Tom

I’m in the same boat. Please let us know ur results.

stvr

I just secure messaged them, too.

Henry

Did you get match? I called and was told no 🙁

Oliver

I was planning on getting this card for a road trip. Go fast redemption here I go!

Procrastinating finally pays off

Captain Greg

Me too. Now I need to get approved
