This post will be short and sweet. Brex has launched the ability to redeem your points for Bitcoin or Ethereum, but even ignoring whether or not you should put money into cryptocurrency, this is a “deal” you should run screaming from.
The reason it’s such a terrible deal is because for every 1,000 Brex points you redeem, you’ll be getting $7 of buying power for Bitcoin or Ethereum. 1,000 Brex points is worth $10 when redeemed as cash, so you’d be better off simply redeeming as cash and buying crypto with that than to immediately lose 30% of its value for the privilege of having Brex buy it for you.

This post wasn’t about the merits of cryptocurrency. It was the fact that you can redeem every 1,000 points for $10 and use that to buy crypto if you want versus redeeming 1,000 points for $7 of crypto via Brex.

What is the best value for Brex Points – I think it is transfer to Jetblue – the points there are worth at least 1.3c each and do not expire – at least for now
