There’s a new targeted Amex Offer out for Dell that provides 10% back up to $1,000 back when using dell.com/smallbusiness. This is targeted at business cards only and could stack nicely with ordinary card benefits if one finds it on a Business Platinum card.

The Deal

  • A new targeted Amex Offer is out that’s good for 10% back at Dell, up to $1,000 back [enrollment required]

Key Terms

  • Only U.S.-issued American Express® Business Cards are eligible.
  • Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
  • Offer valid online only at US website dell.com/smallbusiness, through the mobile app or by calling 1-877-275-3355.
  • Valid only for purchases made directly with the merchant.
  • This offer does not apply to refurbished items, systems or spare parts and is not valid for online auctioneers, Professional Associations, or other Dell Member Purchase Programs.
  • Not valid on purchases shipped outside the US, Puerto Rico, USVI and Guam. See merchant website for shipping policy.
  • Excludes all e-gift card and gift card purchases, international transactions, international contact center, Global events, Dell Financial services, Dell Outlet for Home, Dell Outlet for Work, Dell Healthcare, Dell PartnerDirect, Dell Premier, Dell Premier Connect, Dell Premier Select, and authorized Dell® retailers. Offer is non-transferable. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
  • Limit of $1,000 in total statement credits per Card Member.
  • Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/15/2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

Quick Thoughts

If you find this offer on a Business Platinum card, you should be able to stack it with the twice-annual Dell credit offered by that card. Just be sure to spend more than $222.23 if you’re stacking the offer for 10% back with the Business Platinum card benefit (in the past, those who made a purchase for just $200 would come out around $20 ahead and Amex clawed back credits on some people in that situation, whereas they didn’t claw back credits for those who spent enough not to end up with a negative balance).

Card-linked offers for Dell are nice because they normally stack well with shopping portals. We sometimes see Rakuten offer 10% back / 10x Membership Rewards points or better on Dell purchases. That said, this time, there’s a requirement that you use the website dell.com/smallbusiness. This URL most likely isn’t listed on any portal and we’re don’t know whether this Amex Offer will trigger if you just make a purchase through the normal Dell or Dell Technologies website.

Also keep in mind that the Amex login sometimes only shows 100 offers per card, so you may need to sync up offers to bring your total under 100 in order to see all of the available offers on your card — I read some reports of people not seeing the 10% back offer initially until they added enough offers to see some of the hidden ones.

Got it on my Business Platinum! Still have an offer for +1 MR at Dell from earlier in the year as well.

Adrian

when you click on the link, it’s only for laptops. Does that mean any purchase outside Business Laptop Deals won’t trigger the credit?

Ken

Have the same question, I’m looking to buy a new camera

Ken

Confirmed it worked buying things outside the “Laptop Deals” section, I bought a camera and selected “Business” purchase (not sure if it matters)

I had to add 153 offers to my Amex Biz Plat to finally get this Dell offer to show!

Hopefully you used the script 🙂

Andrew

I just had to go through a bunch as well – showed up on my Biz Plat after that!
