The Point Debit Card is on a streak that continues: today I saw an offer pop up for 10 point for each dollar spent (worth 10% back since points are worth $0.01 each) up to 2,500 points through July 18, 2021. In other words, you can get up to $25 back on $250. I imagine that this could stack with the Summer Streak offer to get 3,500 points when you use your card 5 days in a row before July 4th and spend at least $200 cumulatively.

Quick Thoughts
I don’t own a Tesla, but for whatever reason I feel like there is a disproportionally high number of Tesla owners among miles & points enthusiasts in my social circle (can you buy one with miles and I just didn’t know it?). For those who own a Tesla, getting $25 back on $250 for fueling up is probably a good deal. I don’t see why it wouldn’t stack with the offer to get $35 back on a cumulative $200 by using the card 5 days in a row. That would make for a total of $60 back, which is pretty amazing return on a debit card. The Point Card continues to make a splash for sure.
It is possible that this offer is targeted, though I don’t know how they would have targeted it since I neither own a Tesla nor live in an area where they are common. YMMV.
Wow this is the first time I’ve seen any cash back for electric charging. Right on.
Is the referral offer currently $100 after first purchase or after you spend $1000? I have seen both but don’t see anything when clicking on referral link.
The referral offer in my account says after first purchase and that’s the way it was for the family member I referred the other day. When I go to copy my link in the app, this is what the text they give me to copy says:
“So I’ve been using Point Card… it gives me unlimited cash-back on debit plus amazing benefits. Now I’d like to pay it forward — sign up with my invite link and make your first purchase to earn 10,000 bonus points ($100). Terms and conditions apply.”
The day I joined, my link said after $1K in purchases, but it updated to “after first purchase” a day or two later and has said after first purchase since.
I’m a Tesla owner and (as of last night) a Point debit card holder, so happy to see it. But unless you have multiple Teslas driving very long distances, this would be pretty hard to max out via the stack. You can only get the cash back by actually charging your car and to get to $250 spend, you’d need to drive around 2,500 miles across the 5 day streak. Since I’m not planning a cross-country road trip, I plan on doing a charge at the beginning and end of the streak, removing some of the Amazon reloads I was planning. It’s not going to be a huge number of 10x points, but I’ll get what I can while I take up a couple of streak slots.
